California Canine was founded in 2010 by Dierdra McElroy. Since then, it has turned into a comprehensive training and behavior modification company that works each and everyday to improve the canine/human bond as well as advance medical science towards a brighter, healthier future.
Dierdra McElroy graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Biomedical Science as a pre-veterinary major. After working in a veterinary clinic, she realized that by the time most dogs reach the vet from traumatic, behavior related injuries the damage had already been done. That's when Didi decided to fight on the frontline and help owners change their dogs' behavior before tragedy strikes. Since then, Didi has gained further education and certification in dog behavior, service dogs, therapy dogs, police K-9s, scent and cancer detection.
We, at California Canine, truly believe that we are here to change lives; both canine and human. We work to help improve relations between dogs and their owners. We visit hospitals and provide therapy to those who are going through the worst times of their lives. We help detect cancer before it's too late. California Canine brings the meaning of man's best friend to a whole other level!
